When you get an art tablet you should still practice using traditional  art types as you improved a lot more using these types of art instead of digital.

Using art tablets are very tricky at first and you need to make sure you have configured the settings to your personal preference and get used to how they function to a certain extent before trying out some features or techniques.

Never wash your hands over a sink if you have clay on them it will clog up the drains and will be very very hard to get rid of. Wash your hands over a bucket instead.

Another tip that is helpful is watching speed paints, not only do you see how they did it but you can study it too, just don't copy their art style.
